 Sue Bower

(Owner and Principal)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Exercise Science

  • Master of Physiotherapy

Sue was born and bred in Adelaide, South Australia with German parents, an older sister and younger brother.  She studied Physiotherapy at The University of South Australia, completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1989 and then later her Masters in 2000.  She started her Physiotherapy career in a private practice in North Adelaide in collaboration with orthopaedic and neurosurgeons who had a special interest in spinal surgery.

In 1998 Sue moved to Katherine in the Northern Territory with her husband and young family securing a position as the onsite Physiotherapist at the RAAF base in Tindal, an eye opening experience in many ways.  After three years a job transfer brought Sue to the Gold Coast where she has raised her three sons, all of whom are now adults on successful career paths in their own right and one who has begun his university journey in the last 2 years.  Bringing with her 14 years of experience as a Senior Clinical Physiotherapist at a private practice in Ashmore, Sue has been with the fantastic team at PhysioMax Arundel for 4 years now and is looking forward to assisting you with the management of your physical pain, injury and functional recovery.

Sue took over the practice on 1st May 2021 after the previous owner semi-retired.
